MEMBERSHIP

You can  become a member of DTKC via the Membership link on this website. 

AIDKA LICENCE

You require an AIDKA licence If you wish to be a driver, pit crew or official.

AIDKA Licence applications ( https://www.aidka.com.au/licences/)  

AIDKA Licences and renewals are done online, or via the AIDKA App if you are an existing AIDKA member.

If you are UPGRADING your AIDKA licence (eg Pit Crew to Driver, or Junior to Senior etc), please click this link instead.

Your AIDKA license will not be activated until you have applied for, and paid, your club membership.
The club will notify AIDKA once the club membership fees have been paid so they can complete the license process. 

DTKC Memberships / AIDKA Licence require renewal each year from 31 January.

Single Event Licences are also available for a max of 2 meetings per season. Ensure you have read and understood the AIDKA Licence terms. Single Event Licences may not be accepted at all meetings.

Note:

Only AIDKA licensed persons are permitted into the pit area.

Persons under 5yrs of age and over 90yrs of age are permitted but will be uninsured.

Clubs will provide all persons entering the Restricted area (Track /Pit area) with wrist bands for identification. Non compliance will void AIDKA insurances.

Casual/Day Pit Pass: are available

on the day to Purchase for $10.00

Once your membership and your licence has been accepted you will receive a logbook. Collect your logbook from the licence secretary (arrangements can be made by emailing membership@dtkc.com.au). 

Download the AIDKA Digital App to obtain your licence details. 

Both items will need to be presented at each meeting in order to race.

NOMINATIONS

Nominations are completed on the AIDKA app. 

Click on Race Calendar, Find the meeting you wish to nominate for, and follow the prompts. You will receive a notification once nominated. 

Please check your entry before clicking submit. All details must be entered correctly to ensure your transponder is recording on race day and to report accurate details on Speedhive.  

NO LATE NOMS WILL BE ACCEPTED

Nomination closure dates and fees can also be found on the AIDKA App.

ON RACE DAY please sign in AFTER scrutineering. Arm bands and enclosed shoes must be worn in the pits.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds will only be paid to those  drivers that have notified the Nominations Secretary no later than 6pm the night before racing.
If a race meeting is cancelled prior to commencement, all online payments will be automatically refunded to the account that made the purchase.

OPEN MEETINGS

Nominations for open meetings will be done through the AIDKA App.  Please note the closing dates for an Open Meeting may be significantly different to a club run.  

RACE DAY FORMAT

UNLOADING YOUR GEAR

Please make use of the area behind the canteen for unloading your karts etc. Once this is done please park your car anywhere in the top car park (opposite end of the venue to the pits), do not leave your car and trailer in the canteen area.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE NEAR THE TOWER ON THE MAIN STRAIGHT – THE AMBULANCE NEEDS CLEAR ACCESS AS THEY ENTER/LEAVE THE TRACK UNDER THE TOWER.

A pit bay map is posted in the under cover area next to the canteen and is also available on the Forms page of the website.  Visiting drivers, please have a look at the map and choose a vacant bay to pit in for the day.

Pit Gates Open: 6.30am

Pit Gates Close: 7.30am to trailers

SCRUTINEERING AND DRIVER/CREW SIGN IN

Scrutineering: 7.15am to 8.15am SHARP and must be done prior to driver signing in.  Scrutineering is usually conducted on the out grid.

Sign In: 7.15am to 8.30am SHARP and can only be done once your kart is scrutineered.  This is done at the shed in the canteen area.

ALL PERSONS ENTERING THE PIT AREA MUST HAVE A DTKC ISSUED ARM BAND FOR THE DAY – NO EXCEPTIONS.  For those family/friends etc that arrive after sign in closes, there will either be someone sitting at the gate selling day insurance, or in the absence of that person, see the people in the canteen who will assist.

Enclosed shoes MUST be worn in the pit area.

BRIEFINGS

Officials Brief: 8.30am SHARP.  Those on duties on the day must be at the track and registered by 8.15am SHARP. This is generally conducted in the undercover area in front of the canteen (near the track fence).

Drivers Brief will be at 9am SHARP.  Drivers not present at the briefing WILL NOT RACE THAT DAY.  The drivers briefing is generally held on the outgrid.

NO ENGINE STARTS ARE PERMITTED UNTIL AFTER THE DRIVERS BRIEF.

RACING

Racing starts between 9.30 and 10am (generally 9.30).  The race order and grids will be posted on the whiteboard at the top end of the outgrid (furthest from the track), either as a print out from QuickGrid or handwritten on the whiteboard.

Once you have placed your kart on the outgrid, please take your trolley to the designated area behind the outgrid.  Please ensure there is a clear path 2 trolleys wide minimum from the back of the outgrid to where you place your trolley.

No trailers are allowed in the pits once the pit gates are locked at 7.30am (with the exception of the pre-approved dealers).

Gates will not re-open for car/trailer entry until all karts have finished racing and the last kart has returned to the pits.

AFTER THE RACING

All competitors, crew and families are invited and encouraged to join us in the undercover area for presentations after the race meeting.  Awards are given to all Midget and Rookie drivers and the first 3 placegetters for each class on the day.  A bar is available upon the completion of racing.

DRIVER DUTIES

By submitting your DTKC Membership application, you agree to complete your driver duties when scheduled. Failure to complete these duties when rostered will result in DTKC declining all your nominations until the duties are done. If your duties still have not been done by the end of the race season, DTKC will not be accepting nominations from you in the following seasons.

BUSY BEES

By submitting your DTKC Membership application you are agreeing to Participate in a minimum of two “Working Busy Bees” that the club conducts in order to maintain the clubs facilities and minimise club membership fees, one prior to the season commencing and one throughout the season, unless you elect to pay a “payment in lieu of busy bees”. This payment has been set for the 2024 season at $200 / busy bee for driving members. Failure to complete a minimum of 2 busy bees or paid the appropriate busy bee levy will result in no race day nominations being accepted

VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE

No Driver, crew or participant shall verbally or physically abuse or intimidate an official or fellow competitor, crew, or participant. Any person acting in this manner will be guilty of an offence and shall surrender their Logbook and be liable to a penalty.
